A few practical questions

Before we start.

We agree on the information, responsibilities, and deliverables that fit your request.

Is a small request welcome?

Yes. A single spreadsheet improvement, research question, or report can be a project on its own. Paid discovery is not required for every request.

Will we need to replace our existing software?

The starting point is the software you already use. A solution could combine available reports, exports, or accessible data into a useful view or workflow. We check what is feasible before agreeing on the work.

What access to our data would you need?

We first identify the information needed for the agreed problem. Then we agree on a suitable way to access it, such as an export or appropriately limited system access, and clarify handling and responsibilities before work begins. You do not need to send business records with this inquiry.

How will our staff learn to use it?

The people doing the work help validate the solution. Deployment includes user testing, practical documentation, training or handoff, and an agreed correction period so the tool can fit into their working day.

What happens when our needs or software change?

Optional maintenance and improvement support can cover the delivered system as data sources or workflows change. Support scope and responsibilities are agreed separately, including who maintains the system if you choose a handoff.

Who owns the data and the finished solution?

Your business data remains yours. The engagement agreement sets out ownership and usage rights for custom work, reusable components, and third-party tools, along with access, handoff, and maintenance responsibilities. We clarify those terms before work begins.
